Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services Team Fully Implemented
Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that due to declining roadway conditions caused by snowfall and icy surfaces, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office has fully implemented its Emergency Response Services (ERS) Team to assist stranded motorists throughout Butler County.
As conditions continue to deteriorate, the Sheriff has issued a Level 1 Snow Emergency. Roadways are icy, and drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution, reduce speeds, increase following distance, and avoid unnecessary travel whenever possible.
In addition to ERS operations, Road Patrol units are actively deployed countywide, monitoring roadway conditions, responding to traffic crashes, and ensuring stranded motorists receive timely assistance. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office remains fully staffed and continues to respond to all calls for service without interruption.
“Our deputies and emergency response personnel are out in these conditions right now,” Sheriff Jones said. “We are committed to making sure motorists who become stranded are not left without help and that public safety services continue despite the weather.”
Residents are encouraged to check on elderly neighbors, keep emergency supplies in their vehicles, and stay informed on weather and road updates.
For emergencies, dial 911. For non-emergency assistance, contact the Butler County Sheriff’s Office at 513-785-1300.
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as necessary.
